7 Devotions to Help You Discover God’s Restorative Powerਨਮੂਨਾ

Go Live
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 ESV
No matter what, we can hold on to this truth: God is good. He wants to walk with us in our suffering. We can trust Him, as He has a deep love for us. He has wonderful plans for us! As we go about life, we can be held down by things that plague us from our past or current situations we just can’t seem to get through. Imagine looking ahead in your life, and ask yourself this: Will things that are on my mind now still be affecting me then?
Today, release to God anything that is stealing joy from your life. Then listen to what He is trying to tell you. He may be calling you to get deeper help through therapy or to receive more support by joining a small group. We can spend too much of our lives stuck in sadness, pain, anxiety, and worry, while God is inviting us to be released from these things.
There is hope and peace that can be found in God, and we can live happier, more fulfilling lives when we choose to follow Him. I love Jesus’ words in John 14:27 ESV: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
Friend, don’t sit around and wait for better days. Choose today to allow restoration to take place. You can lessen your need to please others, and you can stop being held captive by anxiety and worry. Don’t let fear hold you back from living the life God has given you. Trust me, I’m in it with you! When we actively choose to live in the light instead of in the darkness, we can receive the peace and happiness that God has for each of us.
