Sowing God's Wordਨਮੂਨਾ

Sowing God's Word

DAY 1 OF 3

The Sower’s Calling

Thank you for faithfully investing in the mission to take God’s Word to the world. God is using you and your generosity to change lives. But you’re more than a giver. You’re a Sower—a vital part of our Community and team.

With that in mind, what does it mean to sow God’s Word?

In 1 Corinthians 3:6, Paul writes to the church of Corinth: “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.”

Paul is addressing the division in the church in Corinth. People were choosing sides, aligning themselves with either Paul or Apollos. But Paul reminds them that while he planted the Gospel and Apollos helped water it, it is God alone who causes the seed to grow. Both planting and watering matter, but the growth comes from God.

At YouVersion, we believe that God’s Word is the seed that has the power to transform lives. Every time someone installs the Bible App, a seed is planted. Every time that person opens the Bible App, that seed is watered.

As part of the Sowers Community, you’re like Paul—you’re planting the seed of God’s Word in the hearts of others. And through your consistent and faithful generosity, you’re also watering that seed by helping people connect more deeply with Scripture through features like Guided Scripture and Plans in the Bible App.

Just as God used Paul and Apollos to share the Good News, He is using you to spread the hope of His Word to millions around the world.

Over the next few days, we’ll look at the Parable of the Sower together and discover what it truly means to sow God’s Word—and how you’re a vital part of it.

Thank you for being part of the Sowers Community! We’re so grateful for who you are and the work that we get to do together.

You’re not simply giving to a cause—you’re sowing a seed that has eternal impact.

Reflect and Respond:

Think about when you first became a Sower. How has God used generosity to draw you closer to Him?

Prayer:

God,

Thank You for showing me what generosity looks like and inviting me to share this gift with others. As I continue to sow the seed of Your Word, I pray that it will take root in people's hearts so that they can experience a deeper relationship with You. Help me live a life that blesses others just as You have blessed me.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
