Living With Directionਨਮੂਨਾ

Trust and Step
How do you live in a way that's open to the Holy Spirit's leading? It all comes down to one word: trust.
Trust that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who walks before you, beside you, and behind you. Trust that he knows your every need and will take care of you. It's only when you trust Jesus fully that taking those supernatural steps of faith becomes possible.
How different do you think your life would look if you laid down your own plans and picked up God's? Does that thought fill you with excitement? Joy? Dread? Maybe a little of all three?
It's countercultural. The world tells you to build a plan for success. Jesus says if you want to save your life, you have to lose it first. It doesn't make sense by the world's standards—but trusting Jesus and leaning into the Holy Spirit is how you step into real life.
And trust doesn't happen all at once. It's built over time. You can't trust someone you don't know. Like sheep learning the voice of their shepherd, you learn to trust by spending time with him:
- Spend time in Scripture—listening to God's voice.
- Spend time in prayer—talking with God.
- Spend time with others who are sincerely following him.
Do those three things regularly, and you'll see your trust—and your ability to follow the Spirit—grow stronger every day.
