God’s Strengthening Word: Putting Faith Into Actionਨਮੂਨਾ

Introduction
Galatians 3:1–14: Paul continues his discussion of what it means to be saved by faith (see 2:15–21 from yesterday’s reading). In today’s reading, Paul argues that those who depend on obeying the Law live under a curse because no one can follow it perfectly. Jesus took the place of all people and died under a curse so that all who believe in him would be freed from the curse of the Law.
Today’s Key Verse: Galatians 3:11 GNT
Now, it is clear that no one is put right with God by means of the Law, because the scripture says, “Only the person who is put right with God through faith shall live.”
Reflect
According to Paul, who are the descendants of Abraham (verse 7)? In verse 11, Paul quotes from Habakkuk 2:4 when he says, “Only the person who is put right with God through faith shall live.” According to what Paul states in verses 13 and 14, what has Christ done for us?
Pray
Lord Jesus, you have redeemed me from the curse that the Law brings by becoming a curse for me. Thank you for the blessing of God’s promised Spirit and that, through faith, I have been put right with God and shall live. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Galatians 3:15—4:7: Paul discusses the purpose of the Law.
