Paul opens the final chapter with instructions for both masters and servants, but quickly shifts to a call for all believers: be devoted to prayer. He also asks for prayer himself—not for comfort or safety, but for an open door to share the gospel clearly. That’s the heart of a leader who lives on mission. Even in prison, Paul is thinking about how to make Christ known.

These verses challenge us to pray bigger, more kingdom-minded prayers. Are our requests mostly about our own comfort? Or are we asking for open doors to bring Jesus into our world?
