Christ Over Everything - Colossiansਨਮੂਨਾ

Theme: The Fruit of the Gospel
Paul opens his letter to the Colossians not with criticism or correction, but with deep gratitude. He thanks God for the evidence of the gospel at work in their lives—faith in Christ Jesus, love for all the saints, and a hope stored up in heaven. These are not surface-level qualities. They are the fruit of something deeper: the gospel message that has taken root and is bearing fruit across the world.
The key phrase in this passage is that the gospel is 'bearing fruit and growing.' That’s what the Word of God does when it’s received with faith—it transforms people from the inside out. The Colossians didn’t achieve these traits through effort; they flowed from the power of the gospel.
This same gospel still bears fruit today. If the Word of God feels distant or dormant in your life, return to it with fresh hunger. Ask God to let His Word take deeper root in you. Growth may be slow, but it is inevitable when the soil of your heart is surrendered.
Daily Application: Reflect on your spiritual life. Is the gospel still central—or has something else taken that place? Re-center your heart today by rereading verses 5–6 and thanking God for the fruit already growing in your life.
