The Gospel of Matthewਨਮੂਨਾ

More Than a Sunday Faith
There was a point in my journey where I realized I was only mentioning Jesus at church. My faith was neat and compartmentalized—like a checkbox on a form: “Christian.” But outside of Sunday mornings, it wasn’t something I spoke about freely. Then something shifted. Jesus became more than a part of my life—He became the center of it. That shift changed everything.
I began to mention Jesus in everyday conversations—not in forced or awkward ways, but because He was real to me. I started seeing my identity not just as someone who attends church, but as someone who belongs to Christ. That meant my faith wasn’t just a belief I held—it was a relationship I lived.
Peter’s confession that Jesus is the Messiah wasn’t just a theological statement—it was a turning point. He recognized who Jesus really was, and it changed the course of his life. The same is true for us. When we declare who Jesus is—not just once, but daily—we move from religion to relationship.
Today, take a moment to declare who Jesus is to you. Say it out loud or write it down. Let your faith move beyond the box and into every part of your life.
Respond to God’s Word:
Declare who Jesus is to you—aloud or in your journal.
