Hebrews Part 2: Selfish Christianityਨਮੂਨਾ

Heaven Starts with Jesus
Everyone wants to believe in Heaven—but not everyone wants Jesus. Many dream of a paradise free of pain and full of pleasure. But Scripture is clear: Heaven isn’t just a place—it’s the presence of a Person. Jesus is the center of Heaven, and without Him, it isn’t Heaven at all.
Hebrews 4 paints eternity as a forever Sabbath—rest in God’s presence. Like in the Exodus, not everyone enters that rest. The Israelites saw miracles and walked in deliverance yet still chose rebellion. It wasn’t their surroundings that kept them from the Promised Land—it was their hearts.
The Bible uses images to help us understand eternity: a party, a garden, a home, a city, a Kingdom, and a Sabbath. These point to restoration—a return to what was lost in Eden. That rest, broken by sin, is promised again through Christ.
Through Jesus’ death and Resurrection, God has rescued us from sin and promised us a forever home. But right now, we walk through a broken world, called to trust Him daily. Many still chase counterfeit heavens—pleasures that promise joy but can’t deliver rest. Hebrews is a wake-up call: don’t get stuck wandering. Fix your eyes on the better Home—where Jesus waits.
Heaven isn’t just spiritual—it’s real, physical, and vibrant. Everything good and beautiful will be restored. But more than what we’ll do, Heaven is about who we’ll be with. If you don’t want Jesus now, why would you want to spend forever with Him?
Do you long for Heaven because of Jesus—or just because it sounds like a better version of Earth?
