AUTHORITY FLOWS FROM UNDERSTANDING

Authority in the spiritual realm is not in loudness or physical strength; it is in revelation knowledge. Acts 26:16-18 shows that when Paul encountered Jesus, he was delivered from the authority of darkness and empowered to turn others from darkness to light. Without understanding, you can be delivered legally, but still live as though you are in bondage. Many Christians today have authority over the devil, yet they still live as though Satan is their master because they have not been taught or have not understood their new status. You must settle it in your heart that in Christ, you have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God's dear Son (Colossians 1:13).

Understanding your position in Christ will cause you to confront life differently. You will no longer speak like a victim but as a victor. You are not struggling to be free; you are already free through the finished work of Christ. The problem is that without sound teaching and understanding, many believers are still intimidated by the lies of the enemy. When you know that you are no longer under the jurisdiction of Satan, you will not tremble at demonic dreams, generational curses, or witchcraft attacks. Instead, you will stand tall and declare your liberty in Christ boldly. Your victory is a settled matter; you only need to enforce it by standing firm on the Word of God.

It is time to stop fighting like someone seeking victory. You must fight as someone enforcing an already won victory. The enemy only succeeds against believers who are ignorant of their rights and privileges in Christ. Authority is exercised through understanding and confident declaration. When Satan throws his tricks and intimidations at you, reply with the Word, rooted in revelation. Boldly declare who you are, what you have, and where you are seated in Christ. Understanding is your edge in spiritual warfare. It is the difference between those who live in perpetual defeat and those who walk in sustained victory.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you living as someone who has authority in Christ or as someone still under Satan’s intimidation? What declarations can you begin to make daily to enforce your victory?

PRAYER: Father, thank You for translating me from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Your dear Son. Help me to walk daily in the consciousness of my authority in Christ. I receive boldness to enforce my dominion and live as a victorious believer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
