Power On!ਨਮੂਨਾ

It takes only 5 minutes in the shoes of an out-numbered parent to see the challenges that can arise in ensuring daily survival. The hustle, the cleaning, the behaviour checks, the confiscation of pyrotechnics, the comforts required.
All these things can leave one drained and ready to quit by lunchtime, let alone bedtime. Each of us experiences days, regardless of the cause, that have us feeling low on battery long before the day is done. This is a hard spot to be in, but it often coincides with times when God wants us to be able to show His love and compassion.
There are many opportunities throughout our day that you can use to serve others, to share the love of Christ, even when our circumstances make it hard to do so. Today aim to honour God by putting others first instead of justifying the job list, the resentment or the mood. No matter where we are, no matter what our circumstances, we can serve others and serve the Lord and do our best to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
Prayer:
Father, please help me today as I face moments of emotional and spiritual challenge, to let it go and to serve others. Help me to see their needs so that I can best serve You by loving them as You love me. Amen.

About this Plan

With Jesus, we want to go from "standing by" to stepping out! Through these readings, experience stories of when God led people to turn "on" their spiritual power and saw the Holy Spirit move through them. God is ready to do miracles on Earth, but we can miss out on what He is ready to do by staying in the boat like Peter nearly did. These Scriptures will encourage you to step out of the boat and see the Power of the Holy Spirit move!
