Pathways to Purposeਨਮੂਨਾ

It’s human nature to see more clearly the problems in others’ lives that in our own; and even more clearly the things in others that we tend to struggle with the most in ourselves. If you find yourself being particularly “judgy” about an issue in someone else’s life, instead take a look in the mirror and see if it’s something you need to work on yourself.
God chooses to deal with us kindly, and so there is not always an immediate consequence to sin. However, God is just and judgement is certain. The Message puts verse 4 this way, “God is kind, but he’s not soft”. As kindness has been extended to you, rather than judgement, respond to others in kindness too.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us remember you choose kindness first over judgement, and help us to do the same towards others. Amen.
