Pathways to Purposeਨਮੂਨਾ

We don't like to think of ourselves as helpless, out of control, or not able to control our circumstances sometimes. However, the bible says that we are the Lord's, the earth and everything in it, we are His children (Psalm 24:1).
In our reading today Hannah has a hope for a child, she longs for this, but she has no ability to control the outcome - no IVF for the children she longed for, no way to stop her opposition from teasing and mocking her. Instead she placed herself, all she hopes for, in God's hands.
She prayed - and God heard her. Not only did He answer the desire of her heart but He took her situation and wrote a phenomenal future for her family and especially that of the Son she dedicates to Him.
Prayer
God, would you hear our prayers today and would we see the impossible become possible through You. Would you teach us how to walk through seasons where we feel the world is against us, or is completely out of our control. You are in control and we can trust You. With you, we are safe and cared for as Your children. Amen.
