Pathways to Purposeਨਮੂਨਾ

A young child is quick to mimic their parent. When siblings come along there’s more mimicking to be done. It must be true then, that our actions, words, and beliefs rub off on those around us. We have influence!
This chapter illustrates the benefits of respecting and revering God and His ways. When we do we are given a strong confidence deep down inside that God has everything under control. This not only benefits us but those around us get to share in that same confidence too. It rubs off on them. This God-confidence is referred to in this verse as a refuge, a safe place. What a beautiful description and experience.
A healthy respect for God and His truth helps us to avoid the consequences of sin. It also encourages confidence that all injustice will be put right in eternity. Let’s not become overfamiliar with the God we serve. Let’s take His ways to heart and follow them. Let’s embrace Him as our refuge and safe place, and in doing so others will too.
Prayer:
Lord God, thank You that You have everything under control. Even when things go terribly wrong, we can have assurance and take shelter in You. Help us to respect and follow Your ways and share the benefits with others in the process. Amen.
