Trading Shame and Striving for Wholeness in Christਨਮੂਨਾ

This Means War
While your everyday life may seem like an ordinary rotation of emails and deadlines, dishes and laundry, conversations and commutes—there is a supernatural war waging around you.
Your struggle with shame and striving may appear only to be a battle in your mind and heart, but it is actually spiritual warfare. Paul warns us: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens” (Eph. 6:12). The same serpent that deceived Eve in the garden is actively at work to deceive you and me.
When I hear Satan tell me I’m not enough, that Christ is not enough for me, I must take that thought captive and point myself back to God’s truth. Even when my heart doesn’t feel like it, I must choose to believe God’s promises and walk forward in faith, hope, obedience, and community. When I do this, I am waging war against the cosmic forces of darkness around me. And by the power of Christ in me, he has guaranteed me victory.
He guarantees you that same victory! So, friend, I invite you to link arms with me in this daily battle to identify the lies, meditate on the truth, and live according to the promises of Christ.
