Love and Truth as Refuge

Every time we pick up our phone, turn on the news, or scroll online, we are bombarded by competing narratives. Our attention is for sale.

But how often does what’s vying for your attention remind you of God’s goodness? His presence? The safety of His care? Likely, it does the opposite.

We’ve grown so accustomed to letting the world shape us that we rarely question its grip. We assume what we see is all there is. We trust only what we can feel. But that’s not reality.

The unseen realm of God’s Kingdom is more real than the world screaming for our attention. And yet, we rarely experience it.

Like amphibians, we were designed for both realms—the natural and the spiritual. We need both to thrive. But most of us are starving spiritually, barely aware that an entire Kingdom is available to us.

Psalm 91 gives us a glimpse into that world—God’s refuge, His love, the darkness set against us, and the way to actually live in both realities.

What if we could tune in to the deeper reality? What if we could live there daily?
