The Good News and the Bad Newsਨਮੂਨਾ

Will You Share The News?
If someone came to you and told you that they had good news and bad news, which would you want to hear first? We typically choose to hear the bad news first so that we can end on the good news.
But good or bad, news gets told.
Studies show that the most effective advertising is word of mouth. I’m sure you can relate. If you are looking for a restaurant to go to, you are more likely to visit one that someone has recommended.
Imagine you’re at a party and there is an interesting looking food on the table that no one has ever seen before, and none are willing to try. But one of the guests gets brave and decides to give it a go. They try it and everyone watches and after chewing for a few seconds, they say, "It is nice!" How much more willing will everyone be to taste it now that it has been recommended as nice?
But imagine trying to recommend or describe something that you haven’t experienced yourself. Or trying to describe something to someone else who hasn’t experienced it. How do you describe the experience of winning the race, when you have never won the race?
Salvation is the same. In order to share what it is like with someone, you need to first experience it for yourself.
You can try and describe what it is like. You can maybe even fake it! I am a fan of faking it until you make it. I have faked being super confident in situations where I really haven’t been confident! It has helped me to become more confident. But you can NOT fake a relationship with God.
We could use words to try to describe it, but in the end, you need experience. Then your experiences with Jesus will shine through in your life.
We don’t have to DO anything special to EARN salvation. It is a gift that we can ACCEPT. And Jesus has come to find us to give it to us!
Like the bleeding lady, we need to have faith and take action to reach out to take hold of Jesus' clothes. To take hold of Jesus' clothes means we need to come close enough to Him to be able to touch His clothes.
Like the leper who came back, we need to acknowledge God and thank Him. Just being religious won’t save your life and remove your sins, only a personal saving relationship can do that.
Are you going to share the Good News?
