Lent: The Journey of Letting Goਨਮੂਨਾ

Week 2: Trusting God’s Guidance in Uncertainty
Theme: Living in God’s Kingdom means embracing a love and faith that often defy our expectations, inviting us to sacrifice, trust, and grow in humility.
Focus Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.”
Connect: Have you ever avoided something you knew you needed to do—maybe because it felt uncomfortable or scary? Jonah resisted God’s call and tried to run the other way. But God didn’t give up on him. Instead, God gave Jonah another chance. What if God is inviting you to stop running and trust that He’ll give you the strength to follow where He leads?
Engage: Jonah resisted God’s call to preach repentance to Nineveh, yet he eventually surrendered and witnessed God’s mercy. Surrender means trusting that God’s plans are better than our own and sometimes the path is very unexpected.
Apply: Write down one thing God may be calling you to do that you’ve been resisting. Pray for courage to take the first step today.

About this Plan

Lent begins with a call to release control and embrace surrender. By letting go of the burdens we carry, we create space for God’s grace to bring renewal and transformation. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
