A Decision To Trust

Lord,

Many options face my husband and me concerning new orders. East Coast, West Coast, overseas—which choice do we make? Shall we list our preferences without consulting You, snagging what seemingly fulfills our needs? We’ve traveled that path in the past, running down the pothole-filled trail paved with our own understanding. I cringe at the thought of handling this move in the same dangerous way. Instead, I desire to place this decision in Your hands, so I run to You. Help my husband and me lean on Your understanding to make wise choices.

You assure me of Your trustworthiness. I believe You. Open wide my heart to fully trust You, Lord. Quiet my understanding, and bring rise to Yours. Whether or not circumstances, options, or outcomes make sense, I wring my hands of control. You are my strength and shield, the one who refuses to forsake me. You straighten my path because I acknowledge You (Proverbs 3:6). Faithful Father, take this choice my husband and I face, and make it Yours. Thank You for guiding us in love and with unfathomable wisdom.
