My Worth

Lord,

Hurt pricks at my heart when I don’t feel valued—when people acknowledge my husband’s service but fail to notice mine. When he’s away, there’s still a household to run, cars to take care of, and kids to single-handedly parent while juggling two people’s responsibilities. You hear me question whether anyone cares. My self-will itches for someone’s assurance, yet the void remains. Why do I continue to seek affirmation from others and not You, the true filler of my need? Help me, Lord.

My worth doesn’t hinge on the notice or accolades of people, but it’s found in You. You are worthy to be magnified. With the power of Your love, cast aside my fear of being unnoticed or disvalued. The fact that You care enough to number every hair on my head astounds me. Plant deep within me trust for Your truth, not man’s opinion. Spur me to keep Your proclamations concerning me at the forefront of my thoughts so they’ll never be buried again. Glory to You, God.
