Following Jesus in Nursing: A Daily Devotional for Caregiversਨਮੂਨਾ

Take one minute, and breathe in and out slowly. Ask Jesus to make his presence known to you. How does being a Christian nurse differ from any other nurse?
In Colossians 3:1-4, Paul encourages believers to "set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." This powerful reminder calls us to refocus our priorities beyond the immediate challenges and stresses of life, pointing us to the eternal hope we have in Christ. As nurses, we face countless moments that can be overwhelming—urgent situations, complex patient outcomes, long shifts, and emotional strain. Yet, Paul reminds us that our true identity and ultimate purpose are found in Christ, above all things. When we remember this, it shifts our perspective. The pressures of our day-to-day work no longer define us; instead, we are defined by the hope of eternal life with Christ. This mindset helps us maintain peace and strength, knowing that our labor, even in the most challenging moments, is part of something far more significant than ourselves. –Grateful for you, Christy
How can you concretely remind yourself today to set your mind on things above?
Dear Jesus, thank you for your care for me. Help me feel you with me today. Help me care well for others today in your strength. Amen
