He Is...Hope
Did you know that Jesus’ birth was prophesied about 700 years before He actually came? It’s hard to imagine waiting that long for anything! Just as the Israelites waited patiently, hoping for the coming of the Messiah, we, too, wait patiently and hope for God’s promises to be revealed—both in our daily lives and as we look forward to Jesus’ return. Rest in that hope today.
Journal Prompt:
- Which characteristic of Jesus resonates most with you? (Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace)
- What is something you’re hoping for? How does waiting, and anticipation for it increase your joy?

About this Plan

We all know how easy it is to get swept up in Christmas planning, shopping, decorating, and countless gatherings. These things are exciting and festive, but they can sometimes pull us away from what Christmas is truly about—the arrival of Emmanuel, “God with us.” The Good News is that, in a world filled with so much uncertainty, He is our Hope. He is our Love. He is our Peace, our Joy, our Light. This is the gift of Christmas, for each and every one of us.
