The Kid: An Advent Devotional for Middle Schoolersਨਮੂਨਾ

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW
Fear can sneak up on us, especially during the holidays. We fear family drama, loneliness without friends, or Christmas won't meet our expectations. The good news is we’re not alone. Mary, the mother of Jesus, faced much fear during the first Christmas. The angel’s words to her are powerful: “Do not be afraid,” because God was with her. No matter what happened next, she didn’t have to face it with fear.
The same is true for us today! When fear creeps in this Christmas, remember that God is with you, just as He was with Mary. Because of Jesus, whose arrival we celebrate, we don’t have to face our fears alone.
Write down some of your fears or worries this Christmas season. Then, share that list with a trusted friend, Small Group Leader, or family member so they can pray and remind you that because of Jesus, you don’t have to fear.
