Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of Ephesiansਨਮੂਨਾ

Eph 5:21-30
Paul addresses Christian marriages and how they ought to live. He was speaking into a culture where the man was seen as domineering, but the Bible is counterculture.
Ephesians 5:24-25
Now that the church submits to Christ, wives should also submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her
Men have often used the Bible to tell their wives to “submit to them”, but in reality, the Bible talks about MUTUAL SUBMISSION.
Yes, the Bible says that the wife should submit to their husbands as the church submits to Christ. But then he tells the men to lay down their lives for their wives like Christ laid down His life for the church.
So while wives submit, husbands die.
The mutual submission is mutual servanthood.
The husband’s focus is on his wife.
The wife’s focus is on her husband.

About this Plan

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
