Let's Talk About...What to Do When Adults Disagreeਨਮੂਨਾ

When we encounter conflict and fighting, it can be easy to respond in anger or hurt. And honestly, of course, that’s how we respond! Nobody enjoys disagreements—not being in one and not being around one. That’s what makes it feel so surprising that God calls us to respond to those situations with patience and forgiveness. When everyone around us is fighting, we’re called to bring peace. Easier said than done, right? The good news is we aren’t doing it alone! God’s Spirit works in us to help us deal with our anger and find a better way to respond—a way that points toward peace. Even when we disagree, even when we’re hurt, even when the people around us don’t give up the argument, we can choose to be people who bring God’s love and peace into any situation.
Today, draw a picture of something that represents peace to you. If you’re not sure, you can simply write this verse down: Ephesians 4:2. Place it somewhere you will see it often this week, and whenever you do, ask God to help you seek peace in every situation.
