Playbook: The Game Plan for Navigating Temptationਨਮੂਨਾ

Wanting something isn’t wrong, but it’s important to think about why we want it. A lot of times, it comes down to pride. We think we deserve what we want or should have a right to it. Over time, that pride can even tempt us to believe we should do something we know may not be wise or even good to get it. In those moments, it’s important to remember that God does want what’s best for us. When we believe that’s true, we’ll spend less time focused on what we want and more time focused on the good we know God has for us. We can put our pride to the side and follow God toward what’s best.
Talk to a trusted adult in your life, like a parent, small group leader, or even an older sibling about some things you want right now. Ask them to help you see where you’re being motivated by something other than God’s best for you.
