All of us have felt overwhelmed before; that intimidating feeling that we can’t handle whatever we are facing. Yet we can also find a positive side to feeling overwhelmed: We can choose to believe that we’re mysteriously safe in the presence of something bigger, greater, and more powerful than us. So, the next time you feel like things are out of your control, remember this verse from Jeremiah. Nothing is too hard for God. It never has been and it never will be. God is that greater and more powerful presence that we can be safe with, no matter what we’re up against.

This week, when facing something big, remind yourself that nothing is too hard for God and thank God that you can count on Him to be strong, even when you aren’t.
