“Never stop praying.” That may sound like a good idea, but how do we do that? While we can’t spend all day with our heads down and eyes closed (without getting in trouble at least), we can start with the One who taught us to pray. Jesus taught us to pray in private (Matthew 6:6), using few words (Matthew 6:7-8), and using His words (Matthew 6:9-13). So let’s start there.
As you begin your morning, give whatever is on your heart and mind to Jesus in the privacy of your room. As you head into your day, choose a word that reminds you of God and pray it throughout the day. And in the evening, pray the Lord’s Prayer with your family (Matthew 6:9-13). These simple prayers can help you keep God on your mind throughout the day. As 24/7 Prayer founder, Pete Grieg, says, “Keep it simple. Keep it real. Keep it up.”
