Daily Bible Reading—March 2024, God’s Guiding Word: Prayerਨਮੂਨਾ

March 14
Introduction
Esther 8:1–17: Today’s reading reflects a pivotal reversal. Esther receives all the property that had belonged to Haman, and Mordecai is appointed to a new and influential position. While the king could not revoke the proclamation that ordered the Jews to be destroyed, he tells Mordecai to issue letters written in the king’s name that would allow the Jews to defend themselves.
Today’s Key Verse: Esther 8:16
For the Jews there was joy and relief, happiness and a sense of victory.
Reflect
What did Esther say to the king? How did the king respond? What was stated in the letters that the king ordered to be issued?
Pray
Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, in your mercy watch over those who are victims of oppression and war. Protect them from danger and harm, and surround them with your steadfast love and care. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Esther 9:1–19: The Jews destroy their enemies.
