Have you ever reached a moment in your life when you wished you would have asked for advice before that moment? I know I definitely have. Because even though I sometimes think I have all the answers, in reality, I don’t. Usually, when I follow my own “wisdom,” I face the consequences of my mistakes.
This is why seeking wisdom is so important! One of the ways we can do that is by seeking out godly mentors. This could be a youth leader, a pastor, or a trusted family member. Being able to talk to someone who has more experience with life can be a game-changer. All it takes is the courage to text that one leader asking them to talk or asking an adult you trust for their advice. I promise that they’ll be glad you asked them!
As you begin to seek wisdom, remember it doesn’t happen overnight. One conversation with someone doesn’t mean you immediately gain all their wisdom. It’s forming a relationship with your leader or another adult you trust and constantly seeking knowledge that will help you become wise.
Today, think about one thing in your life that you need wisdom or advice on. Then, choose one of your leaders at church or an adult you trust, and ask them if you can talk with them soon.
