Prayer for Spiritual Revival

Lord, our world is in such darkness. As a result there are billions of people hurting. This world has rejected You even though You are the way, the truth, and the life. Father forgive us. Have mercy on us. We have such a lack of Your wisdom and Your ways, Lord. Our cultures seek to follow after human wisdom. No matter how unfruitful the results are, we follow after man’s ways instead of looking to You as the answer to our problems.

Wake us up, Lord. Revive us! Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may know which path to take. Give us a hunger and a thirst to seek You! You are the only one who can help us. We’re helpless on our own. We admit that we need You. Give those of us who do know You the boldness to speak up in the midst of a perverse generation. Help us be lights so that those who are willing may find a way in the darkness, and streams in the desert.
