Bare Tree and Little Wind: A 5-Day Kids Reading Plan for Holy Weekਨਮੂਨਾ

“And God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good.” — Genesis 1:31
Today, Bare Tree tells Little Wind about God making the world and us.
“Oh, it was perfect!” Bare Tree says. “A man named Adam and a woman named Eve walked with each other and with God in a beautiful garden. Everything in the garden, including Adam and Eve, was created lovingly by God. Adam and Eve believed that God loved them and had good things in mind for them. They obeyed God’s rules with no worries because of their sweet relationship with God as their loving parent.”
“That sounds so beautiful,” Little Wind says.
“The trees and flowers were happy, too,” Bare Tree says. “And so were the rivers, lakes, and oceans. Back then, winds like you played and sang and laughed and danced in perfect harmony. Everything rejoiced in the goodness of God being in charge. There was no death or sadness. All that God made was going to be alive and beautiful forever.”
“Wow,” says Little Wind. “Just…. wow.”
Question

Prayer
Dear God, thank You for creating this world and everything in it. Thank You for creating animals, plants, trees, and even the wind! Thank You for creating each one of us. Help us to know and love You more. Amen.

About this Plan

I wish there was no crying over sad things or being scared of bad things in our lives. Don’t you? That’s what Easter is about—God making things right and good, so we don’t have any more tears or fear! This Holy Week, our friends, Bare Tree and Little Wind, talk about God fixing our mess by putting Good Friday and Easter Sunday in the middle of His plan.
