SOAP – Colossians 3:1-3 Once a Christian surrenders her life to Jesus Christ, her motivation and desires change. Her focus now becomes centered on the things of God, because she is motivated by God’s great love and sacrifice for her. What one does with her mind will determine what she will become as a Christian. If our focus is on the things that glorify the world, we will think like the world. If our focus is on biblical truth and godly principles, we will grow in godliness and become increasingly more useful to God. What are you choosing to set your mind on? Because we remain in this world, we can be easily seduced by the things of this world. We must fight to drown out the noise of the world and focus on the things of God. Father God, I thank You for giving me a new life, a new heart, and a new purpose in You. Help me to resist the seduction of the world. Reignite my desire and passion for godliness and renewed intimacy with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
