Bricklayers 4ਨਮੂਨਾ

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. We doubt ourselves. We work ourselves into exhaustion. We give up. We slow down. The Jewish people were tired. They began to slow down. “Our strength is failing. There is too much work. We won’t be able to do it.” They started off in excitement but began to falter. Maybe it was a failure of vision. Maybe they didn’t recruit enough people to complete the job. Nehemiah turned his people back to God. He knew that he must point them back to the Lord, so he could change their focus from their obstacles to their goal. Scattered families joined back together in clans. Morale was lifted. And they went back to work.
Living the Christian life is tough. The call to be a missionary is exhausting. There seems to always be too much work to do. And our families are all scattered at different schools, extracurricular activities, and other priorities. Bring your family back together. Reengage in the mission and vision Jesus has given you.
