Wisdom From Jamesਨਮੂਨਾ

Choose Peace
We see in James 3 the contrasting of jealousy and wisdom. The two qualities are completely opposite. Jealousy produces selfishness, disorder and is unspiritual. However, God’s wisdom is pure, peaceful, loving, gentle, yielding, merciful and accompanied by the fruit of good deeds. It produces peace.
An observation we can draw from this passage is that jealousy leads to ambition, which leads to evil and disorder. Whereas wisdom is merciful, leading to good fruit and good deeds. It has no favouritism. It is always sincere.
Wisdom is crucial to live a godly life. What it produces is what we all want for our lives. Today, I want to encourage us to choose wisdom, to live out our life as peacemakers. Ask God for it. The fruits of wisdom far outweigh the fruits of jealousy.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that your wisdom produces life. I pray that I will grow to live out my life honouring you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
