Wisdom From Jamesਨਮੂਨਾ

Good Deeds Follow Faith
Anyone can believe there is a God, but ‘believing’ does not equal faith. James expresses that even demons believe, so to have faith and not perform good deeds is a foolish argument. Good deeds will always follow true faith. Abraham’s faith and actions worked together and brought a lamb to sacrifice in place of Abraham’s son Isaac. Here we see that authentic faith is not just belief; it is action. God calls Abraham ‘friend’—that is a beautiful picture of God’s love. I do not know about you, but I want to be known as a friend of God because my faith is the real deal. ‘Faith without works is dead’.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Abraham’s examples of faith. Today I pray that I too will become a great example of faith—a faith that is alive and active—through my actions. In Jesus’ name, amen.
