Love God Greatly - Galatians

DAY 25 OF 40

Paul describes how the false teachers are seducing them with false doctrine. He states that it is important for them to seek integrity always, not only when he is with them. False teachers lead people away from the faith. They entice Christians with their smooth words and appeal to their desires. While Jesus’ work on the Cross frees believers from immoral behavior, the false teachers, who are in bondage to sin, inevitably lead believers back into bondage to sin. Believers must remain zealous about God’s Word and remain focused on God’s Truth in order to avoid being deceived. What do Paul’s words about false teachers teach you about the importance of clinging to God’s Word? What priority does the Lord and His Word have in your life? Father God, I thank You for the Bible, my Book of hope, that I can turn to day or night. Help me to keep Your Word close to my heart. Magnify the verses of Your Word louder and higher than those things and those people that compete for my attention. Let Your Word be what I run to and cling to when I find myself lost, drifting, and compromising with the ideas of the world. Help me to remain on the lighted path that You have laid out before me. Allow me to be a light to others who need You as well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly - Galatians

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
