Precious Moments That Count For EternityVoorbeeld

Shalom Jerusalem
The nation and people close to God’s heart, is the nation of Israel and the Jews. God wants us to remember them often in prayer, instructing us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
The Apostle Paul tells us, that he has a heart-wrenching desire to connect with God’s heart and pray for Israel to be saved (Romans 9:1-3). The Bible specifically states that we must pray for Jerusalem, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns (Isaiah 62:1). God made a covenant with Israel and God keeps His covenant. In Zechariah 1:14, He says, "I am zealous for Jerusalem.” We must not doubt God’s heart towards Israel. He is a covenant keeping God and sets His covenant in eternal concrete.
God is going to release all His activity through Jerusalem. Therefore, we must pray for God to bring salvation to the Jews. Ask God to release anointed people to save Israel, by raising both, Gentile and Messianic ministries, to preach the gospel to the Jews, proving to them that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
Praying for the peace and prosperity of Jerusalem has a promise attached to it (Psalm 122:6). If you love Jerusalem, you will pray for the Jews and God will prosper you. There will be revival in your own city. When you connect with God’s heart and pray for Israel you are positioning your family, your finances, your church, and your nation to live under an open heaven. Besides praying for the salvation of God’s people, we have to pray for their protection as well, especially when we see them surrounded by so many of their enemies. We owe it to the Jews, for our Messiah Jesus Christ came from the Jewish lineage.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. You are a covenant keeping God. You love the nation of Israel. You have not given up on them, so we cry out and pray for their salvation and protection. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
