"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me..." Matthew 11:29 "He who is not with me is against me..." Matthew 12:30 Apart from the Lord, you will not experience the fullness of God's favor. We're either with Him or we're not. Maybe we think we can get by with part-time Christianity, but the book of Revelation clearly states that God will "spit out" those who are lukewarm in their faith. We're invited to be yoked with the Lord. This is not an invitation to be taken lightly. Like two animals that share a harness, He offers to come alongside of us in our journey. With Him we're never alone and He helps carry our burdens. He also provides instruction and leads the way when we don't know where to turn. Let's face it, this is a great offer! Jesus won't force a yoke upon us. The choice is ours to make. To be yoked with Jesus is to be unyoked from anything that contradicts or competes with His Word and submitted to Him. Choose this day whom you will serve. Set before you is a life of blessing and a life of curses—choose life!
