The Journey Reading PlanVoorbeeld

Managing Resources: Possessions
If you’re going to invest your life in something, make it something that will last. Peter says that God will one day destroy the present world, creating in its place “a new heaven and a new earth” (verse 13).
You may wonder what God is waiting for. Why doesn’t he just bring about the changes he’s promised right now? The answer is found in verse 9—God is waiting because he wants to give spiritual explorers like you more time to make a decision.
Do you still need more time? Or can you decide today to trust Christ to forgive your sins and give you eternal life. When you make that decision, you invest your life in something that will last through eternity.
