People had different thoughts about who Jesus was. Some thought he was a good guy. Others saw him as a great teacher (or rabbi). The religious leaders considered Jesus trouble because he didn’t do things their way.
Peter said Jesus was the Messiah - the one who came to rescue us from sin.
