When I took the first step of faith to follow God forward, I did not feel deserving of another chance at a beautiful, joyous, good life, even though I believed God was good. Trusting God opened my eyes to see things from His perspective and discover the beauty, blessings, purpose, and lessons He ordained for me. I realized that the suffering I had experienced wasn't because of something I had done wrong. I saw that time and chance had happened to me, but that God could make everything I had gone through work together for my good. God has restored my faith in His goodness toward me. He has restored my identity in Christ and my hope for the present and the future, and He is restoring my whole life. Believing in God's goodness toward us makes all the difference in navigating uninvited change.
