Day Seven - I can Serve the Lord

This is our final day of week 3. What have you learnt this week?  Yesterday we looked at how serving helped Samuel to grow in his love and understanding of God. Today we will look at how Samuel grew in his love and devotion to God and how Samuel served God and others because of this.

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3

Samuel served God all his life, as he grew up, his confidence in God also grew.  

Samuel spent a lot of time learning about God and grew in his devotion to God. He loved God and loved God’s people. 

It’s a bit like being a plant, when we feed a plant good things, it grows strong and then is able to grow more good things. 

Samuel served God and others because he loved God and wanted to always do what God would want him to do. 

Samuel’s heart was so full of God’s love that he wanted to share that love with others. When we serve God and others it is from a heart that loves God and is full of God’s love. 

ASK:

How can we grow in our love for God?  

When we know that God loves us our confidence will grow also - do you know that God loves you sooooooo much? 

How can we show God’s love with others? 

Just like Samuel, when we serve others we are showing them God’s love - who can you serve and show God’s love to today?

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

PRAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news

that you gave to help us find our way. 

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere! 

We trust what Your word says. 

You can use my words to share Your message

You are with me everywhere.
