Cooking Up Confidence (Week Three)

Day Four - I can Serve the Lord

Yesterday  we looked at how Samuel would have lots of jobs to do in order to make sure that the tabernacle was kept clean and tidy for God’s people to come and worship. Today we will look at how wonderful the tabernacle was and how God gave HIs people detailed instructions about how it was to be built.

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3.

The Tabernacle was the holy tent where God met His people in worship. The Lord instructed Moses to tell His people to make an offering to Him and these offerings would be used to build the tent: gold, silver, bronze, red and purple cloth, soft leather, spices, rubies, sapphires and topaz. The Tabernacle was indeed an awesome sight.

We can read all about how God instructed His people to build the tabernacle in Exodus 25:1-9.

This was a very important place and God gave HIs people very detailed instructions about how to build it.

ASK:

How awesome do you think the tabernacle would be?

What is the most special thing you have?  How important do you think it is to look after it?

Remember you are precious to God, even more than all of the precious things that God told His people to put in the tabernacle.

Read Isaiah 43:4 (or ask your grown up to read it for you).

REMEMBER:

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

PRAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news

that you gave to help us find our way.

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere!

We trust what Your word says.

You can use my words to share Your message

You are with me everywhere.

In Jesus's name,

Amen.
