Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Divided tongues that looked like fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Day by day as they continued meeting together with one accord in the temple courts and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food together with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

‘In the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

All who believed were together and had all things in common. They were selling their possessions and belongings, and distributing the proceeds to all, as anyone had need.

And everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.’

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
