In today’s world, we find ourselves constantly pulled in different directions, trying to balance roles and responsibilities. We are husbands, fathers, leaders, brothers, friends, and so much more. Yet, the question often arises: What does it truly mean to be a man? The world offers many definitions of masculinity, but they often fall short of the standard set by Jesus Christ.

Jesus, the ultimate man, provides the perfect picture of what manhood was always meant to be. He showed us how to live with purpose, lead with integrity, serve with humility, and reflect the image of God in every area of life. His life offers a blueprint for us to follow, one that involves embracing multiple roles, each with its own challenges and opportunities. From servant to king, from leader to healer, Jesus demonstrated the full spectrum of what it means to be a man who walks in God’s calling.

In Be the Man They Need, we will look at 12 specific roles that Jesus modeled. Over the next 2 weeks, we'll explore each of these roles and how you can apply them to your own life. It’s not about a checklist or a list of rules; it’s about stepping up. It’s about becoming the man God created you to be, following in the footsteps of Jesus.

Challenge

Each day, we’ll dive into a different aspect of Jesus’ life, focusing on a role He fulfilled. As we look at His example, we will also examine ourselves. How can we step into the roles God has called us to and meet the needs of those around us? This journey is about keeping our eyes on Christ and stepping into the fullness of who God has created us to be, through His Spirit and with His power.

Prayer

Lord, help me understand what it means to live as You did. Empower me to step into the roles You have called me to, and teach me to lead, serve, and love like You. May Your Spirit guide me in every step I take. Help me to help others, help me be the man they need. Amen.
