Devotional:

“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:26-29

In a world that constantly divides people by race, status, and background, God’s Word reminds us of a greater truth: In Christ, we are one family. Our identity is not defined by earthly labels but by our relationship with Jesus. Through faith in Christ, we become God’s children, not by birthright, nationality, or social standing, but by grace. This means that our worth is not based on what we have accomplished or where we come from. Instead, our value is rooted in the unchanging love of God. Paul reminds us that when we put on Christ, it is like putting on new clothes—we take on His righteousness and identity.

This eliminates division among believers. The distinctions the world emphasizes should not separate us in the body of Christ. We are called to live in unity, treating one another as brothers and sisters, no matter our differences. As children of God, we are also heirs of the promise given to Abraham. This means we have an eternal inheritance— salvation, grace, and the blessing of being part of God’s kingdom.

Prayer:

Pray for unity among believers, that we would see each other through Christ’s eyes. Ask God to remove prejudices or divisions in your heart, helping you love and serve all people as fellow heirs of His promise.
