Day Four: it all belongs to you

It’s one thing to wait when you can control what happens next. It’s another when you can’t. When all you can do is hand it over to God and trust that He’s holding what you can’t fix, explain, or even see yet.

Jesus shows us this when He prays these words. The cross is ahead of Him. The disciples still don’t fully understand what’s coming. Yet He prays with total surrender: “All I have is yours.”

Those are words of worship in all seasons, but especially when everything feels uncertain, and when surrender might seem like giving up.

But Jesus shows us that this is actually the way to peace and life. Surrendering to God is where the waiting becomes lighter… when you realize life is not yours to carry alone.

“It all belongs to You, my heart beats for Your glory,
My every breath’s pursuit, to know You, love You completely.”

Sometimes we forget that worship isn’t just a sound we make, it’s the space we give God to move where we can’t. To remind us that He’s still restoring what looks broken, still writing stories we thought were left unfinished.

If you’ve been waiting for answers, or trying to hold everything together, maybe the invitation is to let go. To pray like Jesus did: “All I have is Yours.”

In that kind of surrender, there’s rest. There’s room for His Spirit to remind you that none of this is wasted. That He’s still near.

Prayer:
Jesus, everything I have is Yours. When I don’t see how it’s working, help me to trust You with it all. Teach me to wait with open hands. Let my life be one of worship, even in the in-between. Amen.
