How to Build Up God's Kingdomಮಾದರಿ

Kingdom that fills up the entire life

People often divide life into “holy” and “ordinary”, i.e., Sundays are for God, other days are for work; prayer is spiritual, and daily life is worldly. But Jesus came to erase this boundary. Since for Him there is no “no-God” space – the entire life belongs to the King.

Building up God’s Kingdom means letting His reign into every area of our life – work, family, friendship, leisure, creativity, ministry. When Christ becomes the King in the heart, He wants to be the King in everything we do. Eating, working, listening, talking, resting can and should be an act of worship if we do it all out of love for God and people.

Jesus did not isolate Himself but lived among the people – at weddings, on the roads, at homes, at dinners with friends. He showed us that God’s presence can fill ordinary daily life. And it’s there in those simple moments that the Kingdom grows – in the sincerity of the conversation, in the honesty of the work, in the word of support, in the ability to see God in small things.

When we let Christ be the King in everything – our life becomes a prayer, our home becomes the place of ministry, our work becomes the act of worship. And then the world sees that the Kingdom of God is already here.

When we allow Christ to be the King of our entire life – in heart, community, work, dreams, and daily routine – we become part of God’s great plan. And then naturally arises the common desire to build up His Kingdom together.

Let’s build up the Kingdom of God, starting with our relationships with the King by learning about His heart and living in His love. Let’s see our lives as part of God’s great story and allow the Gospel of the Kingdom to guide our path. Let’s remember that we have been delivered not only from, but also for – for life that has got sense, mission, and hope. Let’s grow in a community where love and mutuality make the Kingdom visible. Let’s allow God to grow His Kingdom within us so that our hearts may bear fruit of the Spirit. Let’s collaborate with God in every area of our life, bringing light to where there’s darkness. And finally, let’s live in such a way so that our entire life may become the place of God’s Kingdom – in our words and actions, works and leisure, in everything we do - “as in heaven, so on earth.”

Prayer:

God, thank You for not dividing my life into “holy” and “ordinary.” Please, teach me to see Your presence at every instant, every person, everything I do. May my entire life become the place where Your Kingdom grows.
