God Is Generous

One of the attributes of God is generosity. James highlights two profound things about God’s generosity; He doesn’t just give, he is extravagant at it. Also, He doesn’t act on a reason to withhold His blessing, He finds an excuse to give. This is the Father's disposition to every area of your need, He’s the God that does exceedingly abundantly above. But one reason many believers don’t experience the extravagance of God’s supply is scarcity syndrome. Many unconsciously carry the thought of scarcity.

This scarcity mentality is what makes people settle for less. It is what makes one of the king’s officers in 2 Kings 7:2 doubt God’s ability to change the economy of the nation in 24hrs. It’s the fear that makes some people hoard and hold tight to chest the resources God puts in their hands. They are not persuaded God can supply again and again if they release what’s in their hand.

Have you heard statements like, “good men or women are scarce”? Or words like, “there is no job out there”? It is scarcity mindset speaking. Scarcity mindset makes you think opportunities are few, or that miracles are rare. Scarcity is not with God; it is in the mind of men, the reason you must renew your mind.

Scarcity in your mind creates scarcity in your life. If you see abundance in your heart, you will experience abundance in your life. You become what you thinketh in your heart. That is why the foremost miracle God gives is the miracle of perspective, the ability to see from His light. What you see inside is what you will experience outside.
