The response to Christ's invitation yields the greatest possible reward: adoption. "Yet to all who did receive him ... he gave the right to become children of God" — John 1:12 NIV. This means the mission accomplished at the stable and the cross creates a new family. Our belonging is not based on biology or heritage, but on receiving Jesus.
